Preserved intact since the second half of the 18th century, the domain of Canon is inhabited, even to this day, by the descendants of its creator, Jean-Baptiste Elie de Beaumont, famous lawyer of the Age of Enlightenment who marked with his spirit and its personality the architectural and landscape ensemble of Canon.
The castle, 18th century house in the fields, contains many family memories. The castle, 18th century house in the fields, contains many family memories. From the vestibule to the large living room via the dining room, the visit allows you to discover the history of the Elie de Beaumont family, and to follow the adventure of the ongoing restoration of this castle.
Guided tour of the interior of the castle every day in July and August.
Around the castle, the park is designed both in the French and in the English, and swarms with a multitude of rivers, waterfalls, canals, which accompany the walker. The visit ends in the Chartreuses, a dazzling set of thirteen gardens enclosed by consecutive walls, entirely planted with perennials.
